COLLEGE PREP
Mission Statement
The Western Selects College Prep Program aims to give players the tools they need to achieve and thrive in their ultimate goal of collegiate hockey. Whether you are just starting the recruitment process or already committed to a school, this program will provide necessary education that helps to guide athletes on their paths to success.
The WS College Prep Program is an informative resource for players and parents who seek more knowledge and first-hand experience relating to the transition between youth and collegiate women’s hockey. The program is designed to provide information that will prepare both players and athletes to not only achieve the goal of being scouted, but also to thrive once they arrive on campus.
Seminar Content
From the start of the recruitment process to the freshman year of college, these seminars aim to prepare athletes to be the best they can be. With topics that will cover information including timing of the recruitment process and life as a student athlete, players will be more prepared to take on the challenge of achieving and succeeding in their collegiate athletic goals.
“Rules and Timing of the Recruitment Process & Initiating Contact- Sending the Right Email” - #1 (October)
